Modern and clean
Although located in the old Japanese capital of Kyoto, Hidden Inn is a modern and clean, fully air-conditioned townhouse furnished with Western style (and size) furniture. The queen size bed provides space and comfort and the dining table seats 6.
Renting this house provides great value particularly to traveling families. On a cost per person basis, staying at Hidden Inn Kamitoryo-cho deluxe townhouse is much cheaper for families than comparable five star accomodation in Kyoto city. Kitchen and laundry facilities allow guests to save money by eating in and avoiding expensive hotel laundering costs. The central location means guests can walk, rather than taxi, to many local sightseeing spots.
Management is more than happy to provide ideas and advice regarding travel plans, eating out, using local transportation and where to find bargains.
Sliding glass doors in the main bedroom open out onto a private balcony with a small table and seating for four. In warmer weather guests may find this a great place to read during the day and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening with views of Kyoto tower.
Hidden Inn provides all the convenience of a home away from home. Guests may come and go as they like, cook in the townhouse themselves without having to pay for expensive hotel food.
Fully equipped kitchen so guests can eat in
The townhouse has a fully equipped kitchen. Guests therefore have the option of buying takeout (perhaps sushi or a bento?) and bringing it home to eat or cooking themselves. All appliances, plates, cutlery, etc necessary are available and ready to use.
Entertainment for a rainy day
The townhouse has high speed (1Gbit) fiber optic internet with wifi, a large flatscreen TV, Sony Playsation 3 with a wide selection of games, DVD/Bluray player etc to ensure that guests have something to do if the weather turns bad or they just need a break from sightseeing.
Convenient laundry facilities
There is nothing worse than having to do laundry during your vacation. Hidden Inn has a brand new washer dryer which minimizes the hassle. Guests need not hang their clothes outside or lug them to a coin laundry. Iron and ironing board are also provided for guest's convenience.
Hidden Inn management chose the location of the property very carefully. This is to ensure that guests can relax and enjoy their vacation without the typical noise associated with large hotels and roadside traffic. The townhouse is within a residential area with a strong sense of community. You are sure to see the friendly locals as you come and go and experience local atmosphere which is likely to be quite different from home.
Hidden Inn Kamitoryo-cho is located in a quiet downtown neighbourhood away from major traffic routes but within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, convenience stores, post office, banks and tourist attractions such as temples, gardens and shrines. Hidden Inn is less than 1500m from the city center and less than 10min by taxi from Kyoto station.

A vast range of maps, guides and recommendations is made available to guests so that they can enjoy Kyoto and get the most out of their stay. We realize that it can sometimes be a little intimidating for travellers without Japanese skill especially those visiting for the first time. Thus we do our best to make ourselves available and provide assistance. Luckily the warmth of the locals and their wonderful hospitality makes our job a bit easier! The owners and managers of Hidden Inn are also great lovers of Kyoto and are eager to share their insight with guests.
